Emergency Gate Repair:
Indianapolis Storage Facility
A national-brand storage facility called us on a Saturday after their main entry gate derailed and collapsed off its track — leaving the entire property unsecured. Tim and William responded the same day.
The Problem
The facility's main slide gate had completely derailed and was leaning at a 45-degree angle — off its track, unsupported, and blocking the access lane. The bottom rail had failed at the weld point, likely from years of accumulated wear and repeated impact stress. With the gate down, the property had no access control: tenants couldn't enter and the facility was wide open.
The Response
SMS dispatched on the same call. Our van arrived on site fully stocked — no supply runs, no delays waiting on parts. William assessed the structural failure, identified the broken weld at the base rail, and began work immediately. The gate was stabilized, the damaged section repaired, the track realigned, and the operator reconnected and tested.
The Outcome
The gate was back on track, secured, and fully operational the same day it failed. The facility was secured, access control restored, and the operator verified working before we left the property. No second visit required.
