The Project

From emergency repair to new panel

When the gate was hit overnight, the bottom rail was completely broken. SMS responded after hours, straightened and patched the rail, and welded the tensioner cable end so the gate could keep working in the meantime.

A matching AutoGate replacement panel is a special order, and the manufacturer's lead time was four to six weeks. As soon as it arrived, our crew removed the failed panel, hung and adjusted the new one on the existing operator, and verified the gate's operation. We brought our own Bobcat and trailer to move the 24-foot panel.
