Why Indiana sites wear out

Indiana winters swing above and below freezing again and again. Water gets into gate tracks, loop saw-cuts and the bottom of roll-up doors, freezes, and spreads cracks. In spring you see heaved concrete around bollards, ground loops that stop reading cars, and doors that bind in their guides. Hot, humid summers are hard on keypads and camera housings. We plan inspections around that cycle.

At a Public Storage facility on W. 86th St in Indianapolis, a gate panel was hit overnight. SMS made it safe after hours, then replaced the 24-foot AutoGate panel on the existing operator when the special-order part arrived. In Greencastle we installed an AutoGate lift gate.
